Hi Nick,

You shouldn't need the gnome-ppp package with 9.10. Follow this guide: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1302235

Hi Matt:

Enjoyed reading your article regarding the configuration of a Telstra/ZTE MF626 Pre-paid Wireless modem working under Ubuntu. I've had the same problem for months and unfortunately still have the problem.

I followed your advice and tried downloading Gnome-PPP; unfortunately I have no modem connection at all with Linux so I can't download it from the Ubuntu site using the sudo apt-get command. All I get is a message informing me that there is no connection.

I tried downloading it via Windows onto the desktop, loading Ubuntu and copying it across; however, I find that there are so many dependencies that I cannot get it to run. I'm trying to configure Ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix from a USB stick, any thoughts on how to install Gnome-PPP manually?

Regards...

Hi sporanox
The code should generate traffic because it will attempt to conect to each IP in the network on the port 9100. If there is a printer listening on the port then it will connect. I wrote the code on ubuntu 9.04 so im not sure what could be going wrong. Does Python give any error messages when you run it?

Hi Sara. ive been on wave for about a month now and i got 8 invites when i first got wave and been getting more invites since. Not sure what needs to be done to get invites but i think i got my invite through the request invite page from google so that might be why. If you have invites it will be in a wave called "Invite others to Google Wave" and there is a gadget where you put in a email to send the invite to.

Thank you so much for the invite. And thanks for telling me that. I spent quite a while trying to figure out how to send invites. haha....just curious, how long wave you been on wave? And how long did it take until you were able to invite others? I'm still so new to this...

1. What do you think of Google? I think google is an overpowered corporation that serves their community in a fun and loving way.
 2. What is your favourite Google product and why? The android platform because it provides for an open source platform.
 3. What operating system do you use and why? Windows Vista because of directx10 and it recognizes my 12 gigs of DDR3 RAM.
 4. Apple? ...linux?
 5. How long have you used Google for? ten years.
 6. What will you do with your Google Wave account? Optimize my communication skills and report bugs to the beta team.
 7. How much do you want Google Wave? more than yo momma.
 8. Microsoft is the root of all evil? noooo.
 9. Why should i send you one of the invites? Because google needs my feedback!

thanks man.
